She sets her foot on the pavement;
Takes a breathe and starts listening.
Stomp, stomp, swish, huuh.
Turns the corner and finds a blazing sun.
Moves her feet to the right,
Too find the dark shade.
Stomp, squish, swish, huhh.
Her breathe catches and her
Lungs screaming.
She looks straight ahead
With a matter of determination.
I'm going to hit that corner.
She thinks and sends her thoughts.
Stomp, stomp, skip, hhuuuh.
Her muscles ache and her heart pumps.
Stop, stop, it's time to stop.
No, no, I won't, I won't.
Her musical voice chimes
Stomp, stomp, drip, drip, swish, huuh.
You're almost there, don't stop.
She hits her destination.
With her slide splitting, heart pumping,
Lungs screaming and muscles aching.
You're gonna make it.
